About This Dish

This delicioso recipe is inspired by the flavors of northern Italy. Bring a taste of Italy to your dinner table in just 20 minutes.


  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil 
  • 1 small red onion, finely diced 
  • 1 large clove garlic, finely chopped 
  • 2 cups frozen peas 
  • 1 pouch UNCLE BEN’S® READY WHOLE GRAIN MEDLEY™ Brown & Wild 
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup pesto 
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmigiano Reggiano 


  1. Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add extra-virgin olive oil, onion and garlic and sauté, stirring constantly for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add the peas, contents of rice pouch, season with salt and pepper, cover pan with tight-fitting lid and cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let stand 3 minutes. Stir in pesto, replace lid and allow to stand 1 minute. Sprinkle with cheese and serve immediately.
