    About this dish

    Zesty, buttery and filled with the flavor of fresh shrimp. If your family savors shrimp, this 15-minute recipe will become a favorite.

    Ingredients

    • 1 pouch UNCLE BEN’S® READY WHOLE GRAIN MEDLEY™ Brown & Wild 
    • 2 tablespoons butter, divided 
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced 
    • 1 lemon zested then juiced, separate juice and zest 
    • 1/2 pound 31-40 size shrimp, peeled, deveined
    • 1 cup frozen petite peas 
    • 1 cup fresh basil, chiffonade or cut into thin strips

    Instructions

    1. In large sauté pan, melt half the butter. Add garlic, lemon zest and shrimp and sauté until shrimp are almost cooked through.
    2. Add the remaining butter, lemon juice, peas and basil and continue to cook until peas are warmed.
    3. While peas are cooking, microwave UNCLE BEN’S® READY WHOLE GRAIN MEDLEY™ Brown & Wild on high for 90 seconds. Spoon warmed rice onto serving platter and top with shrimp, pea and basil mixture.
