    About this dish

    Johnsonville® Andouille Sausage gives this traditional rice and bean recipe a Louisiana flavor. And it only takes about 15 minutes to prepare!

    Ingredients

    • 1 pouch UNCLE BEN’S® READY RICE® Red Beans and Rice
    • 1 link Johnsonville® Andouille Split Rope sausage, diced
    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • 1 small onion, diced
    • 1/2 cup diced jarred roasted red peppers
    • 1 rib of celery, diced
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth  

    Instructions

    1. Heat oil in a large sauté pan. Add onion, roasted red peppers and celery. Sauté until onions are soft and brown.
    2. While vegetables cook, heat UNCLE BEN’S® READY RICE® Red Beans and Rice in microwave according to package instructions.
    3. Add garlic and sausage to the vegetables and cook until sausage has browned.
    4. Add rice and mix well.
    5. Add in 1/2 cup broth and mix until heated. Mixture should be wet and saucy.
