About This Dish

An easy way to enjoy bold Cuban flavor, this rice and beans bowl combines queso, mango, steak, cilantro and lime for a sweet and tangy meal in minutes.


  • 3/4 pound sirloin
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 2 packages UNCLE BEN’S® READY RICE® Long Grain & Black Beans, prepared according to package directions
  • 1 cup cubed mango
  • 1/2 cup crumbled queso fresco
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • Optional Toppings: Chopped cilantro, lime wedges


  1. Brush both sides of steak with olive oil; sprinkle with pepper.
  2. Prepare grill or boiler. Grill or broil steak 4 minutes per side or until desired degree of doneness. Remove from heat; let stand 5 minutes.
  3. Divide prepared rice among 4 bowls.
  4. Cut beef diagonally across grain into thin strips. Top rice with beef, mango and queso fresco. Drizzle with orange juice.
  5. Serve with optional toppings, if desired.
