About This Dish

Ground beef, tomato sauce and sharp cheddar cheese make these deconstructed and delicious unstuffed peppers.


  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 (10-ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (8.8 ounce) pouch UNCLE BEN’S® READY RICE® (Original Long Grain or Whole Grain Brown)8-ounce cheddar cheese
  • 2 large green bell peppers, cut into thick strips


  1. Prepare rice according to package directions.
  2. Heat non-stick skillet over medium heat. Brown beef, stirring while breaking up chunks. Remove from heat; drain grease. Stir in tomato sauce, cooked rice, and cheese. Stir until cheese melts; simmer until heated through, about 5 minutes.
  3. Serve with green pepper "dippers".
