About This Dish

You’re just 15 minutes away from a tasty rice snack or side dish. If you love green beans and almonds, this recipe will become a favorite.


  • 1 box  UNCLE BEN’S® COUNTRY INN® Chicken Flavored Rice
  • 1 package  frozen, french cut green beans
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1-3/4 cups water
  • 1 package  slivered almonds


  1. In a large 2-quart saucepan, heat the butter.
  2. Add rice and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Add the green beans and water, bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer.
  4. Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
  5. While rice and beans are simmering, toast the almonds over medium-low heat in a small skillet (about 3 minutes).
  6. When all liquid in rice and beans has been absorbed, gently stir in the almonds and serve.
