COOKING DIRECTIONS

Stove Top Directions: Preferred Method

1. Combine 2 cups milk, 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine (optional), contents of seasoning packet, and rice in a 2-quart saucepan.
2. Bring to a boil over MEDIUM-HIGH heat, stirring frequently.
3. REDUCE HEAT to MEDIUM and boil gently, UNCOVERED, until sauce begins to thicken, about 10 minutes. Stir frequently to avoid scorching.
4. REMOVE FROM HEAT, cover and let stand 5 minutes. Sauce will continue to thicken.
   

Serving Suggestion: Garnish with cinnamon or fresh fruit before serving.

Microwave Directions:

1. Combine 2 cups milk, 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine (optional), contents of seasoning packet, and rice into a microwave-safe glass dish.
2. Cover tightly, microwave on HIGH (full power) 5 minutes, stir well. Microwave an additional 5-7 minutes, untilsauce begins to thicken.
3. Let stand covered 5 minutes. Sauce will continue to thicken. Serve warm or cold.*
