COOKING DIRECTIONS
Stove Top Directions: Preferred Method
- Combine 2 cups milk, 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine (optional), contents of seasoning packet, and rice in a 2-quart saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over MEDIUM-HIGH heat, stirring frequently.
- REDUCE HEAT to MEDIUM and boil gently, UNCOVERED, until sauce begins to thicken, about 10 minutes. Stir frequently to avoid scorching.
- REMOVE FROM HEAT, cover and let stand 5 minutes. Sauce will continue to thicken.
Serving Suggestion: Garnish with cinnamon or fresh fruit before serving.
Microwave Directions:
- Combine 2 cups milk, 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine (optional), contents of seasoning packet, and rice into a microwave-safe glass dish.
- Cover tightly, microwave on HIGH (full power) 5 minutes, stir well. Microwave an additional 5-7 minutes, untilsauce begins to thicken.
- Let stand covered 5 minutes. Sauce will continue to thicken. Serve warm or cold.*
