COOKING DIRECTIONS

Measurements:

Servings (cups of cooked rice)	2	4	6	8
Rice (cups)	1/2	1	1-1/2	Whole Box
Water (cups)	1	1-3/4	2-1/2	3-1/4
Salt (teaspoon)	1/4	1/2	3/4	1
Butter or Margarine	1 tsp.	2 tsp.	1 Tbsp.	2 Tbsp.

Stove Top Directions (Preferred Method):

1. Cut open pouch.
2. Combine rice, water and butter in a saucepan.
3. Bring to a boil. REDUCE HEAT (medium-low to medium) and cover.
   
   For Best Results:
   For FIRMER RICE, use less water; and reduce cooking time. simmer for a SHORTER time. For SOFTER RICE, use more water and increase cooking time.

Microwave Directions:

1. Cut open pouch.
2. Combine rice, water and butter in microwave-safe glass dish.
3. Cover and cook on HIGH using times below:
4. Fluff with fork and serve.

5. Reduce to MEDIUM (50%) for 5-minutes. Remove from microwave. Fluff with fork. Serve.

Cook Like Pasta:

Cut open pouch.
1. In a 2.5 qt. saucepan boil 4 cups of water with desired amount of rice (use 6 cups of water when cooking the whole box of rice).
Boil gently for 10-12 minutes or until rice is tender.Drain into mesh strainer. Fluff with fork and serve.
