COOKING DIRECTIONS
Stove Top Directions:
- Combine 2 cups milk, 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine (optional), contents of seasoning packet, and rice in a 2-quart saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over MEDIUM-HIGH heat, stirring frequently.
- REDUCE HEAT to MEDIUM and boil gently, UNCOVERED, until sauce begins to thicken, about 10 minutes. Stir frequently to avoid scorching.
- REMOVE FROM HEAT, cover and let stand 5 minutes. Sauce will continue to thicken.
- Serve warm or cold (if serving cold, for best results chill pudding less than 4 hoours).
Serving Suggestion: Garnish with chopped nuts.
- To Prepare 2 Boxes:
Combine 4 cups milk, 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine (optional), contents of seasoning packets, and rice in a 3-quart saucepan. - Follow steps 2 and 3 of Stove Top cooking directions.
Microwave Directions:
- Combine 2 cups milk, 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine (optional), contents of seasoning packet, and rice in a 2-quart microwave-safe glass dish.
- Cover tightly, microwave on HIGH (full power) 5 minutes, stir well.
Microwave an additional 5-7 minutes, until sauce begins to thicken.- Let stand covered 5 minutes. Sauce will continue to thicken.
- Serve warm or cold (if serving cold, for best results chill pudding less than 4 hours).
