COOKING DIRECTIONS

Stove Top Directions:

1. Combine 2 cups milk, 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine (optional), contents of seasoning packet, and rice in a 2-quart saucepan.
2. Bring to a boil over MEDIUM-HIGH heat, stirring frequently.
3. REDUCE HEAT to MEDIUM and boil gently, UNCOVERED, until sauce begins to thicken, about 10 minutes.  Stir frequently to avoid scorching.
4. REMOVE FROM HEAT, cover and let stand 5 minutes. Sauce will continue to thicken.
   
5. Serve warm or cold (if serving cold, for best results chill pudding less than 4 hoours).
   

Serving Suggestion: Garnish with chopped nuts.

1. To Prepare 2 Boxes:
   Combine 4 cups milk, 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine (optional), contents of seasoning packets, and rice in a 3-quart saucepan.
2. Follow steps 2 and 3 of Stove Top cooking directions.

Microwave Directions:

1. Combine 2 cups milk, 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine (optional), contents of seasoning packet, and rice in a 2-quart microwave-safe glass dish.
2. Cover tightly, microwave on HIGH (full power) 5 minutes, stir well.
3. 
   Microwave an additional 5-7 minutes, until sauce begins to thicken.
4. Let stand covered 5 minutes. Sauce will continue to thicken.
5. Serve warm or cold (if serving cold, for best results chill pudding less than 4 hours).
