Uncle Ben’s® Holiday Rice

Ingredients

1box UNCLE BEN’S® Long Grain & Wild Rice Original Recipe (6-ounce)
2cups leeks (white part only), chopped
1Tbsp. fresh sage finely chopped
1large clove garlic passed through a press
1/2cup orange juice
1Tbsp. lemon juice
2Tbsp. unsalted butter
2 1/4cups water
salt and pepper to taste
1/8tsp. ground cinnamon

Instructions

1. In a 2-quart saucepan, add rice, spice packet and ½ tablespoon butter. Bring to a boil, lower heat to simmer and cover saucepan. Cook for 25 minutes.
2. Melt remaining butter in a large skillet. Add leeks and cook, stirring, over medium heat for 15 minutes until soft and golden. Add orange juice, lemon juice, sage and garlic. Cook over high heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add cooked rice to skillet and stir 1 minute until rice is hot. Add cinnamon, and salt and pepper to taste.
