Ingredients
| 1 3/4 | pints UNCLE BEN’S® Instant Rice |
| 6 | cups kidney beans |
| 2 1/2 | lb. smoked sausage sliced |
| 1 | medium onion sliced |
| 1 | medium green bell pepper sliced |
| 1 1/4 | tsp. garlic powder |
| 2 3/8 | cups water |
| 2 1/2 | Tbsp. vegetable oil |
| 2 1/2 | tsp. Cajun seasoning |
| salt and pepper to taste |
Instructions
1. In a large sauce pan, heat the oil and sauté the sausage, onion, and green pepper for about 2 minutes. Add in the Cajun seasoning. Mix until well coated.
2. Add the beans, garlic, salt and pepper.
3. Add the rice, water; bring to boil, cover and remove from heat.
4. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
