Ingredients
| 1/2 | cup UNCLE BEN’S® ORIGINAL CONVERTED® Brand Rice uncooked |
| 1 1/2 | cups canned tomatoes |
| 1/3 | cup bell pepper diced |
| 1/2 | cup onion sliced |
| 1/8 | tsp. pepper |
| 1 | bay leaf |
| 1 | cup water |
| 2 | Tbsp. vegetable oil |
| 1 1/2 | tsp. sugar |
Instructions
1. Sauté onion and bell pepper in oil until tender.
2. Add tomatoes, water and seasonings. Bring to a boil.
3. Stir in uncooked rice. Reduce heat and cover.
4. Cook slowly for approximately 30 minutes – until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
