Ingredients
| 1/2 | cup UNCLE BEN’S® ORIGINAL CONVERTED® Brand Rice |
| 4 | slices bacon |
| 1/2 | lb. pork cut into 1/2" cubes |
| 1/2 | lb. beef cut into 1/2" cubes |
| 1 | medium tomato chopped |
| 3 | medium onion sliced |
| 1 | lb. smoked Polish sausage sliced |
| garlic croutons |
| 1 | tsp. garlic powder |
| 8 | cups water |
| 1/4 | tsp. pepper |
| 2 | tsp. seasoned salt |
| 1 | Tbsp. caraway seed |
| 1/2 | tsp. paprika |
| 2 | beef bouillon cubes crushed |
Instructions
1. In a Dutch oven, fry bacon ; drain on paper towels. Pour off all but 2 tablespoons bacon drippings.
2. Add onions, beef and pork. Cook until onion is tender, stirring often.
3. Add caraway seeds, seasoned salt, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, bouillon cubes and 2 cups of water. Cover.
4. Cook 1-1/2 hours stiring frequently. Add remaining water, rice, sausage and tomato. Bring to a boil and cover.
5. Simmer until beef and pork are tender, about 25 minutes.
6. Serve hot.
