Ingredients

1cup UNCLE BEN’S® Fast & Natural™ Whole Grain Instant Brown Rice
1/3cup carrot thinly sliced
2/3cup apples unpeeled, cored, and chopped
1/3cup green onions with tops chopped
1/2cup water
1Tbsp. vegetable oil
3/4cup vegetable broth
salt to taste
4tsp. seedless raisins
1tsp. sesame seeds divided

Instructions

1. In a small saucepan bring vegetable broth and water to boil; add rice and simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Set aside.
2. In a small skillet, over medium-high heat, add oil and cook carrots until al dente. Add onions and apples; cook 3 minutes.
3. Stir in rice, raisins and 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds. Cook, stirring until thoroughly heated.
4. Garnish with remaining sesame seeds.

tips and notes
Add some toasted walnuts or pecans for a nutty and crunchy texture.
