5 pork chops center cut 3/4" thick
1cup carrot sliced
1/2cup chopped onion
1/2tsp. basil
1can beef broth
1Tbsp. salt
1/4tsp. pepper
2Tbsp. steak sauce
1Tbsp. cooking oil

May use chicken instead of pork. Suggest using bone in legs and thighs. Brown before adding to rice.

Instructions

1. Brown pork chops in oil.
2. In 2-quart baking dish (12" x 8" x 2") add rice, beef broth, one soup can of water, carrots, onions, steak sauce, salt, pepper and basil.
3. Arrange pork chops over rice mixture.
4. Cover and bake in 350 degree oven 45 minutes.
5. Uncover and continue baking 10 minutes more or until all water is absorbed.
