Ingredients
| 1 | cup UNCLE BEN’S® ORIGINAL CONVERTED® Brand Rice |
| 1 | cup turkey |
| 1/3 | cup butter |
| 1/4 | cup almonds |
| 1 | can consomme |
| 1/3 | cup water |
| 1 | tsp. salt |
| 1/4 | cup flour |
Instructions
1. Cook rice according to package instructions.
2. Toast almonds and brown lightly in melted butter and set aside.
3. Remove from pan. Blend flour with remaining fat.
4. Slowly add consommé and water and cook over low heat (350 degrees F), stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened.
5. Add salt. Place cooked rice in buttered individual casseroles or larger baking dish.
6. Top with turkey, or nest turkey in center of rice.
7. Sprinkle with toasted almonds and cover with sauce and bake at 350 degrees F for approximately 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated and sauce bubbles.
