1 box stuffing mix (6 oz.) for chicken or turkey
3/4 lb. breakfast sausage seasoned hot
3/4 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
2 red apples (optional)
1 large onion, roughly chopped
3 stalk celery, chopped
2 cans chicken broth (14.5 oz.)
1 box UNCLE BEN’S® Long Grain & Wild Rice Original Recipe

Looking for a hearty, savory and oh-so-satisfying side dish? You've found it! This recipe brings together stuffing, sausage, pecans and UNCLE BEN'S® Long Grain & Wild Rice.
  1. Prepare rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet crumble and brown the breakfast sausage.
  3. Pour off the excess fat from the skillet and add onion, celery, apples and pecans. Sauté until onion and celery are translucent.
  4. Combine the stuffing mix, cooked rice, sausage and onion mixture in a large bowl. Moisten with chicken broth.
  5. Transfer stuffing to a large casserole dish and bake in a preheated 375 degrees F oven for 20 minutes. Remove foil during the last 5 minutes to lightly brown.
